48 Portraits, acrylics on canvas, 80 x 80 cm, 2020

48 portraits are referencing work of the German painter Gerhard Richter who created 48 portraits of famous personalities within literature, science, philosophy and music for the German Pavilion in the 1972 Venice Biennale – only men.

I use 48 anonymous and forgotten faces of women who are depicted in the book Invention of Hysteria.

The Old Lady On the 4th Floor is my Covid-19 project. It is 17 chapters (in Danish) and they may be found at www.abetterversion.dk/blog/
